Ω Labs is the AI safety Montréal community space, at 3813 Saint-Denis. Its purpose is to help the local AI safety and governance community make progress through coworking, meetings, events, and hackathons.
The space holds up to 10 people for coworking and up to 20 for events. Bilingual environment. Wifi, desks, kitchenette, balcony, low-volume printer.
Day-to-day coordination happens on the AI Safety Montréal Slack. You will be invited upon membership confirmation.
Three rates.
Sponsored: $400/month or $30/day (when your employer or org pays).
Self-funded: $300/month or $20/day.
Pay what you can: $5/day minimum, work-in-kind also available.
Visitors apply through this same form. The monthly plan grants 24/7 access. We figure out the right rate together after you apply.
Governance. Members are stakeholders. A member meeting is held every month.
Norms and conduct. Work and events at Ω Labs are aimed at reducing AI risks. Focus-friendly default at desks (some members use speech-to-text, so it is not silent). Calls and speech-to-text happen in the kitchenette or on the balcony. Clean up after yourself. Treat others with respect; no sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination. Unpublished work and personal information stay in the space unless the person sharing consents. See the full code of conduct.
